Tennis Canada Curriculum
Mayfair Clubs offers a progressive tennis lesson curriculum as outlined by Tennis Canada.
Accessible Tennis
Progressive tennis is a collection of adaptations that provide tools and environments to make tennis more accessible, enjoyable and easier to play.
Faster Skill Development
Modified balls, racquets, nets and court sizes allow skills to be developed faster and more effectively, regardless of age or ability.
Red Ball
- Ages 8 & under players
- Racquets size: 19’- 21’
- Ball: Oversized high-density foam/felt
- Court: ¼ of a full court. Lower net.
Orange Ball
- Ages 9 & under players
- Racquet size: 23’
- Ball: Approximately 50% compression
- Court: ¾ of a full court. Lower net.
Green Ball
- Ages 10 & under players
- Racquet size: 25’ & 26’
- Ball: Approximately 75% compression
- Court: Full court. Regular net height.

Lakeshore Fall Tennis – Red Ball (60 Minutes)
Ages 4-7
Description
An interactive and fun approach to tennis, with the use of smaller racquets, smaller courts and an easy to control ball. Juniors will learn to hit basic strokes, such as forehand, backhand, volley, overhead and serve. They will also learn to rally and play competitive games.

Lakeshore Fall Tennis – Competitive – U12-U18* (120 Minutes)
Ages 8+
Description
The competitive programs are geared towards kids who are currently involved in tournament play. The program will ensure kids have proper fundamentals, and are important tactical concepts, and will improve the physical and mental parts of their game.
