Welcome Ben

Mayfair Lakeshore would like to welcome our new Head Squash Professional, Ben Hatcher. Ben brings over 20 years of experience in creating comprehensive squash programs for Singles and Doubles, coaching players of all ages and skill levels.

As Head Professional and Squash Director at various private Clubs throughout Canada, Ben combined a dynamic, competitive structure with a welcoming social environment, building vibrant, inclusive squash communities.

Through his programs, players at all stages have thrived: beginners have become lifelong squash enthusiasts, and elite juniors have risen from grassroots beginnings to compete at the WISPA, PSA, and collegiate levels, including standout players like Hollie Naughton, Syan Singh, Wassey Maqsood, and Sarah Hopton, who all started in Ben’s junior programs. Ben has worked with players aged 2.5 to 75, from brand-new beginners to elite athletes, and from competitive to recreational players.

Ben specializes in junior development, club-level adult coaching, doubles play, injury recovery, off-court training for mature players, and refining technical, tactical, and mental skills. He is dedicated to his own growth as both a coach and a player, continually studying the game and maintaining ongoing mentorships.

Ben looks forward to building a strong community and sharing his passion for the game at Mayfair Lakeshore.

Please join us in welcoming him to our team! Ben’s first day on the job will be Monday November 18th. Feel free to contact Ben via email at lakeshoresquash@mayfairclubs.com.
